Kimchi recipe

Kimchi Recipe 65 comments - 02.01.2008 If I had to name my favorite cuisine, it would be a toss-up between Vietnamese and Korean. Both offer charbroiled meats, pickled or marinated vegetables, and a lively and sometimes spicy array of seasonings. What’s not to like?
Most unfamiliar ethnic foods become instantly accessible if you take a trip to a local shop to stock up on a few specific ingredients. It wasn’t until I learned about Moroccan spices that I realized that a tagine is basically a braise seasoned with specific spices mixed in the right combination, such as turmeric, paprika, saffron and ground ginger. Mexican food isn’t all that difficult if one familiarizes themselves with chilies, cilantro, and corn tortillas. Ok, and a nice hunk of pork shoulder as well. Every time I go to a specialty market, whether it’s Mexican, Japanese, or Chinese, I invariably lug back bottles of vinegars, odd herbs, specialty sugars and some sort of backside-burning chili pastes home with me. The other day when I was at Tang Frères, the gigantic Asian market in Paris, I heard a voice calling out for me to make Korean bbq this weekend. It was a little strange: unlike the usual voices I hear in my head, this one had a Korean accent. And it was insistent. Then yet another voice chimed in and reminded me that I’d bookmarked a recipe that Aun at Chubby Hubby made: the most amazing-looking Vietnamese Pork Ribs in Caramel Sauce from Molly Steven’s book All About Braising. And I knew from what the doctors and lawyers told me after the sentencing phase that the only way to calm those voices in my head was sometimes to give in to their demands. (Unlike the other voices that tell me to do all sorts of bad things—like clean my freezer or pay my bills, which I ignore.) Since a French-accented little voice in my head has been riffing on caramel lately, once my mind started gearing up to sink my teeth in to meltingly-soft caramelized pork, I raced over to the refrigerated case at Tang Frères, confident that kimchi would go into my shopping cart as well. If my brain, at this point, probably sounds to you like the United Nations General Assembly of food…imagine what it’s like for me. But I couldn’t find any. No kimchi? Zip.
I’ve read that any Korean would be embarrassed to ‘buy’ kimchi, since it’s a staple of home-cooking. But since I’m not Korean, I don’t have that stigma. (Although all my Chinese friends insist I’m really Chinese, and we have our own stigmas.) And one stigma I’m over is the one against buying pickles. Of course, they had everything but. So I grabbed the biggest head of Napa cabbage and, of course, being American, I bought way, way too many racks of ribs. Hey, if you’re gonna make ribs, you may as well make a lot of ‘em. (What’s up with these recipes that call for 4 riblets per person? I’m thinking one rack per person.) No sooner had I left the market when I realized I had to lug all those ribs home on the métro, and learned another virtue of eating less: by the time I got home, I was certain my shoulder was going to fall off like the meat on the pork ribs. I can imagine that people searching online for a kimchi recipe might stop here and wonder why they’ve landed on a site about Paris, chocolate, and baking. So I made sure the recipe had a little bit of sweetness so it makes the cut. And serving caramelized ribs alongside certainly doesn’t hurt my credibility either. Now If I could only find some Parisians this weekend that have a hankering for Korean bbq and spicy pickles, I’d be in business. I’ve got 4 huge racks of pork ribs marinating in caramel sauce infused with plenty of sweet shallots, all set to go. I’ve got a couple of quarts of homemade kimchi and a few lengthy daikon radishes lined up for various banchan. Oh, and a batch of just-churned milk chocolate ice cream as a cooling afterthought for dessert. There was another voice that told me to do that. But you already know about that one. Kimchi Two quarts Recipe adapted from Epicurious and the San Francisco Chronicle (links below). I couldn’t find chili powder so I used some Thai chili paste, which made the kimchi a bit murky. If you can, try to find the Korean chile powder. I added a scant teaspoon of Mexican chile powder for color. Even though my arm was killing me from carrying home all that pork, I was a trooper and hand-chopped all the garlic and ginger. But I think it could also be done in a blender or food processor. 1 large Chinese or Napa Cabbage 1 gallon (4l) water 1/2 cup (100g) coarse salt 1 small head of garlic, peeled and finely minced one 2-inch (6cm) piece of fresh ginger, peeled and minced 1/4 cup (60ml) fish sauce 1/3 cup (80ml) chili paste or 1/2 cup Korean chili powder 1 bunch green onions, cut into 1-inch (3cm) lengths (use the dark green part, too, except for the tough ends) 1 medium daikon radish, peeled and grated 1 teaspoon sugar or honey 1. Slice the cabbage lengthwise in half, then slice each half lengthwise into 3 sections. Cut away the tough stem chunks. 2. Dissolve the salt in the water in a very large container, then submerge the cabbage under the water. Put a plate on top to make sure they stay under water, then let stand for 2 hours. 3. Mix the other ingredients in a very large metal or glass bowl. 4. Drain the cabbage, rinse it, and squeeze it dry. 5. Here’s the scary part: mix it all up. Some recipes advise wearing rubber gloves since the chili paste can stain your hands. 6. Pack the kimchi in a clean glass jar large enough to hold it all and cover it tightly. Let stand for one to two days in a cool place, around room temperature. 7. Check the kimchi after 1-2 days. If it’s bubbling a bit, it’s ready and should be refrigerated. If not, let it stand another day, when it should be ready. 8. Once it’s fermenting, serve or store in the refrigerator. If you want, add a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds over the kimchi for serving. Storage: Many advise to eat the kimchi within 3 weeks. After that, it can get too fermented.

The word "Eid" appears in Sura al-Mai'da ("The Table Spread," Chapter 5) of the Qur'an, meaning 'solemn festival'.[3] Eid al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar.[4] Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.[5] Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the annual Hajj is completed in Mecca. The Arabic term "Festival of Sacrifice", ‘Eid ul-’Aḍḥā, is similar to the Semitic roots that evolved into Indic languages such as Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Bengali and Austronesian languages such as Malay and Indonesian (the last often spelling it as Idul Adha or Iduladha). Another Semitic word for "sacrifice" is the Arabic Qurbān (Arabic: قربان‎), which is used in Dari Persian and Standard Persian as Eyde Ghorbân عید قربان, and in Tajik Persian as Иди Қурбон (Idi Qurbon), into Kazakh as Құрбан айт (Qurban ayt), into Uyghur as Qurban Heyit, and also into various Indic languages. Other languages combined the Arabic word qurbān with local terms for "festival", as in Kurdish (Cejna Qurbanê[6]), Pashto (Kurbaneyy Akhtar), Chinese (古尔邦节 Gúěrbāng Jié), Malay and Indonesian (Hari Raya Korban, Qurbani), and Turkish (Kurban Bayramı).Azeri (Qurban Bayramı), Tatar (Qorban Bäyräme), Bosnian (Kurban bajram), Albanian(Bajramin e Kurbanit) Croatian (Kurban-bajram), Serbian (Курбан бајрам), Russian (Курбан-байрам), (Eid Kurbani Wari) in Sindhi. Eid al-Kabir, "the Greater Eid" (the "Lesser Eid" being Eid ul-Fitr[7]), is used in Yemen, Syria, and North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt). The term was borrowed directly into French as Aïd el-Kebir. Translations of "Big Eid" or "Greater Eid" are used in Pashto لوی اختر Loy Akhtar, Kashmiri Baed Eid, Hindi and Urdu Baṛā Īd, Malayalam Bali Perunnal, and Tamil Peru Nāl. Another name refers to the fact that the holiday occurs after the culmination of the Hajj (حج), or pilgrimage to Mecca (Makka). Such names are used in Malay and Indonesian (Hari Raya Haji "Hajj celebration day", Lebaran Haji), and in Tamil Hajji Peru Nāl. In Urdu-speaking areas, the festival is also called بقرعید Baqra Īd or Baqrī Īd, stemming either from the Arabic baqarah "heifer" or the Urdu word baqrī for "goat", as cows and goats are among the traditionally sacrificed animals. That term was also borrowed into other languages, such as Tamil Bakr Eid Peru Nāl. Other local names include 宰牲节 Zǎishēng Jié ("Slaughter-livestock Festival") in Chinese, Tfaska Tamoqqart in the Berber language of Djerba, Tabaski or Tobaski in West African languages,[8][9] Babbar Sallah in Nigerian languages, and ciida gawraca in Somali. Eid-al-Adha has had other names outside the Muslim world. The name is often simply translated into the local language, such as English Festival of Sacrifice, German Opferfest, Dutch Offerfeest, Romanian Sărbătoarea Sacrificiului and Hungarian Áldozati ünnep. In Spanish, it is known as the Fiesta del Cordero, the Festival of the Lamb. In Bangladesh and West Bengal it is known as Korbanir Eid কোরবানির ঈদ. [edit]Origin According to Islamic tradition, approximately four thousand years ago, the valley of Mecca (in what is now Saudi Arabia) was a dry, rocky and uninhabited place. Abraham ('Ibraheem in Arabic) was instructed to bring his Egyptian wife Hajra (Hāǧar) and Ishmael, his only child at the time (Ismā'īl), to Arabia from the land of Canaan by God's command.[citation needed] As Abraham was ready to return to Canaan, Hajra asked him, "Did Allah (God) order you to leave us here? or are you leaving us here to die." Abraham turned around to face his wife. He was so sad that he couldn't say anything. he pointed to the sky showing that God commanded him to do so. Hagar said, "Then Allah will not waste us; you can go". Though Abraham had left a large quantity of food and water with Hajra and Ishmael, the supplies quickly ran out, and within a few days the two began to feel the pangs of hunger and dehydration. Hajra ran up and down between two hills called Al-Safa and Al-Marwah seven times, in her desperate quest for water. Exhausted, she finally collapsed beside her baby Ishmael and prayed to God for deliverance. Miraculously, a spring of water gushed forth from the earth at the feet of baby Ishmael. Other accounts have the angel Gabriel (Jibrail) striking the earth and causing the spring to flow in abundance. With this secure water supply, known as the Zamzam Well, they were not only able to provide for their own needs, but were also able to trade water with passing nomads for food and supplies. Years later, Abraham was instructed by God to return from Canaan to build a place of worship adjacent to Hagar's well (the Zamzam Well). Abraham and Ishmael constructed a stone and mortar structure —known as the Kaaba— which was to be the gathering place for all who wished to strengthen their faith in God. As the years passed, Ishmael was blessed with Prophethood (Nubuwwah) and gave the nomads of the desert his message of submission to God. After many centuries, Mecca became a thriving desert city and a major center for trade, thanks to its reliable water source, the well of Zamzam. One of the main trials of Abraham's life was to face the command of God to devote his dearest possession, his only son. Upon hearing this command, he prepared to submit to God's will. During this preparation, Satan (Shaitan) tempted Abraham and his family by trying to dissuade them from carrying out God's commandment, and Ibrahim drove Satan away by throwing pebbles at him. In commemoration of their rejection of Satan, stones are thrown at symbolic pillars signifying Satan during the Hajj rites. In many Muslim cultures the graves of the deceased are also visited during the day of Eid al-Adha. When Ishmael was about 13 (Ibrahim being 99), Allah (God) decided to test their faith in public. Abraham had a recurring dream, in which God was commanding him to offer his son as a sacrifice – an unimaginable act – sacrificing his son, which God had granted him after many years of deep prayer. Abraham knew that the dreams of the prophets were divinely inspired, and one of the ways in which God communicated with his prophets. When the intent of the dreams became clear to him, Abraham decided to fulfill God's command and offer Ishmael for sacrifice. Although Abraham was ready to sacrifice his dearest for Allah's sake, he could not just go and drag his son to the place of sacrifice without his consent. Isma'el had to be consulted as to whether he was willing to give up his life as fulfillment to God's command. This consultation would be a major test of Isma'el's maturity in faith, love and commitment for Allah, willingness to obey his father and sacrifice his own life for the sake of Allah. Abraham presented the matter to his son and asked for his opinion about the dreams of slaughtering him. Ishmael did not show any hesitation or reservation even for a moment. He said, "Father, do what you have been commanded. You will find me, Insha'Allah (God willing), to be very patient." His mature response, his deep insight into the nature of his father’s dreams, his commitment to Allah, and ultimately his willingness to sacrifice his own life for the sake of Allah were all unprecedented. When both father and son had shown their perfect obedience to Allah and they had practically demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice their most precious possessions for His sake — Abraham by laying down his son for sacrifice and Ishmael by lying patiently under the knife – Allah called out to them stating that his sincere intentions had been accepted, and that he need not carry out the killing of Ishmael. Instead, Abraham was told to replace his son with a ram to sacrifice instead. Allah also told them that they had passed the test imposed upon them by his willingness to carry out God's command.[10] This is mentioned in the Qur'an as follows: "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. And when (his son) was old enough to walk and work with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I see in vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now see what is your view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do what you are commanded; if Allah wills, you will find me one practising patience and steadfastness!" So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, We called out to him saying: O Ibraheem! You have indeed fulfilled the vision; surely thus do We reward those who do good. Most surely this was a manifest trial. And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice. And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.[11] As a reward for this sacrifice, Allah then granted Abraham the good news of the birth of his second son, Is-haaq (Isaac): And We gave him the good news of Is-haaq, a prophet from among the righteous.[12] Abraham had shown that his love for God superseded all others: that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dearest to him in submission to God's command. Muslims commemorate this ultimate act of sacrifice every year during Eid al-Adha. [edit]The Sunnah of Eid al-Adha In keeping with the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims are encouraged to prepare themselves for the occasion of Eid. Below is a list of things Muslims are recommended to do in preparation for the Eid al-Adha festival: Make wudu (ablution) and offer Salat al-Fajr (the pre-sunrise prayer). Prepare for personal cleanliness - take care of details of clothing, etc. Dress up, putting on new or best clothes available. [edit]Salat al-Eid (Eid prayer) Muslims from the Ottoman Empire gather after Eid prayers to greet the Imam. Salat al-Eid is a Wajib, not a fard kafaya. Fard kafaya meaning that if performed by some, the obligation falls from the rest congregational prayer. Eid prayer must be offered in congregation. It consists of two Raka'ah (units) with seven Takbirs in the first Raka'ah and five Takbirs in the second Raka'ah. For Sunni Muslims, Salat al-Eid differs from the five daily canonical prayers in that no adhan (Call to Prayer) or iqama (call) is pronounced for the two Eid prayers.[13] However, Shi'ite Muslims may begin Salat al-Eid with adhan (Call to Prayer)—with a third repetition of the line "Hayya ala salah" ("Come to prayer")—and iqama (call).[14] The Salaat (prayer) is then followed by the Khutbah, or sermon, by the Imam. At the conclusion of the prayers and sermon, the Muslims embrace and exchange greetings with one other (Eid Mubarak), give gifts (Eidi) to children, and visit one another. Many Muslims also take this opportunity to invite their non-Muslims friends, neighbours, co-workers and classmates to their Eid festivities to better acquaint them about Islam and Muslim culture.[15] [edit]The Takbir and other rituals The Takbir is recited from the dawn of the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah to the thirteenth, and consists of:[16] Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر lā ilāha illā Allāh لا إله إلا الله Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر wa li-illāhil-hamd ولله الحمد Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, There is no deity but Allah Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest and to Allah goes all praise Variation Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر lā ilāha illā Allāh لا إله إلا الله wa Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar والله أكبر الله أكبر wa li-illāhil-ḥamd ولله الحمد Alḥamdulillāh `alā mā hadānā, wa lahul-shukru `ala mā awlānā الحمدلله على ما هدانا و له الشكر على ما اولانا Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, There is no deity but Allah and Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest and to Allah goes all praise, (We) sing the praises of Allah because He has shown us the Right Path. Eid Prayer is Wajib, not a fard kafaya. [edit]Traditions and practices A panorama in 12 folds showing Muslims returning from their Mosques after Eid prayers in the Mughal Empire. Men, women, and children are expected to dress in their finest clothing to perform Eid prayer (ṣalātu l-`Īdi) in a large congregation is an open waqf field called Eidgah or mosque. Those Muslims who can afford, i.e Malik-e-Nisaab; sacrifice their best domestic animals (usually a cow, but can also be a camel, goat, sheep or ram depending on the region) as a symbol of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his only son. The sacrificed animals, called Uḍhiyyah (Arabic: أضحية‎, also known by its Persian term, "al-Qurbāni"), have to meet certain age and quality standards or else the animal is considered an unacceptable sacrifice. This tradition accounts for more than 100 million slaughtering of animals in only 2 days of Eid. In Pakistan alone nearly 10 million animals are slaughtered on Eid days costing over US$ 3 billion.[17] The meat from the sacrificed animal is divided into three parts. The family retains one third of the share; another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors; and the other third is given to the poor and needy. The regular charitable practices of the Muslim community are demonstrated during Eid al-Adha by concerted efforts to see that no impoverished person is left without an opportunity to partake in the sacrificial meal during these days. During Eid al-Adha, distributing meat amongst the people, chanting the Takbir out loud before the Eid prayer on the first day and after prayers throughout the three days of Eid, are considered essential parts of this important Islamic festival. In some countries, families that do not own livestock can make a contribution to a charity that will provide meat to those who are in need. [edit]Eid al-Adha in the Gregorian calendar See also: Islamic calendar During the festivals of Eid al-Adha, Muslims generally prepare the finest meals derived from their respective cuisines. While Eid al-Adha is always on the same day of the Islamic calendar, the date on the Gregorian calendar varies from year to year since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar and the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar. The lunar calendar is approximately eleven days shorter than the solar calendar. Each year, Eid al-Adha (like other Islamic holidays) falls on one of two different Gregorian dates in different parts of the world, because the boundary of crescent visibility is different from the International Date Line. The following list shows the official dates of Eid al-Adha for Saudi Arabia as announced by the Supreme Judicial Council. Future dates are calculated according to the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia.[18] The three days after the listed date are also part of the festival. The time before the listed date the pilgrims visit the Mount Arafat and descend from it after sunrise of the listed day. Future dates of Eid al-Adha might face correction 10 days before the festivity, in case of deviant lunar sighting in Saudi Arabia for the start of the month Dhul Hijja. 1418 (Islamic Calendar): April 7, 1998 1419 (Islamic Calendar): March 27, 1999 1420 (Islamic Calendar): March 16, 2000 1421 (Islamic Calendar): March 5, 2001 1422 (Islamic Calendar): February 23, 2002 1423 (Islamic Calendar): February 12, 2003 1424 (Islamic Calendar): February 1, 2004 1425 (Islamic Calendar): January 21, 2005 1426 (Islamic Calendar): January 10, 2006 1427 (Islamic Calendar): December 31, 2006 1428 (Islamic Calendar): December 20, 2007 1429 (Islamic Calendar): December 8, 2008 1430 (Islamic Calendar): November 27, 2009 1431 (Islamic Calendar): November 16, 2010 1432 (Islamic Calendar): November 6, 2011 1433 (Islamic Calendar): October 26, 2012 (calculated) 1434 (Islamic Calendar): October 15, 2013 (calculated) 1435 (Islamic Calendar): October 4, 2014 (calculated) 1436 (Islamic Calendar): September 23, 2015 (calculated) 1437 (Islamic Calendar): September 11, 2016 (calculated) 1438 (Islamic Calendar): September 1, 2017 (calculated) 1439 (Islamic Calendar): August 21, 2018 (calculated) 1440 (Islamic Calendar): August 11, 2019 (calculated) 1441 (Islamic Calendar): July 31, 2020 (calculated) 1442 (Islamic Calendar): July 20, 2021 (calculated) Listen that I am Catholic. Jerusalem: Key to End of Days?

People who visit Jerusalem see this ancient city in one of three ways:

* Jerusalem is a fascinating site of historical significance. They are tourists and view Jerusalem as a tourist would.
* Jerusalem is a site that is central to their religious beliefs. Devout Christians visit Jerusalem because they want to “walk where Jesus walked and feel His presence there.” Devout Muslims wish to visit Mohammed’s “Far Mosque” referred to in Sura 17, traditionally held to be in Jerusalem.
* Jerusalem is pivotal to the fulfillment of their traditional apocalyptic expectations.

Jerusalem is unique in that it holds a central, emotional attachment for the world’s three largest monotheistic religions. What is more, these three religions share a common ancestry, each claiming a descent from Abraham. As summed up by LIFE, in Holy Lands: One Place, Three Faiths, these religions are:

Judaism

It is the oldest of the three great monotheistic religions. Judaism’s view of history, as rendered in the Torah some 2,600 years ago, provided a basis for Christianity and, later, Islam. The Israeli leader Moses, who received the Lord’s laws atop Mount Sinai . . . is a revered prophet in all three faiths.

Christianity

In Israel, 2,000 years ago, a child was born to a Jewish couple. Jesus grew to be a charismatic preacher, gathering disciples as he went. This Son of God performed miracles, they said . . . Jerusalem’s authorities, perceiving a threat, had Jesus executed. His followers, taking up the cross, built the world’s largest religion in his name.

Islam

More than 1,300 years ago, a man in Mecca was visited by the archangel Gabriel and received an extraordinary gift: the word from Allah, the one God. Muhammad, according to Muslims, was the prophet presaged by Moses, and Muhammad’s book, the Koran, represented the ultimate truth. Taking his message across the desert to Medina . . . he created Islam.1

While Judaism and Christianity (Judeo-Christianity) have traditionally ranged themselves together against Islam, these three religions are strikingly similar in many significant areas. In addition to all three claiming a religious descent from Abraham, all three religions:

* Believe in one supreme Creator Deity.
* Accept the Old Testament as a holy book.
* Claim that the Messiah/Saviour/Mahdi of the other two is anti-Christ.
* Want a theocratic dictatorship ruled by their Messiah/Saviour/Mahdi.
* Have apocalyptic expectations centering on Jerusalem to establish a theocratic dictatorship.
* Believe that the prophesied end-time destruction can only be survived by their religion being uppermost.

In addition to these similarities, significant numbers of all three religions either teach or act on the concept of Convert or Die! Islam has killed multitudes for refusing to convert to their religion. Roman Catholics may present a fair face to the word today, but her doctrines have not changed. The Roman Catholic Church is responsible for the deaths of even more people than Islam.

Dome of the Rock, JerusalemWhile the ongoing acts of violence committed by Palestinians against Israelis frequently make the news headlines, the many instances of innocent Palestinians, American civilians and many others baited and antagonized by Israeli troops, and even killed outright, rarely if ever make the news. Yet such atrocities by Israelis against the Palestinians and others are an on-going reality. Careful research by many different scholars has exposed the Zionist agenda behind innumerable wars, including collusion with the Nazis during World War II.
Taken all together, an alarming picture begins to emerge of an all-out war for theocratic dictatorship leading to global control, at the cost of annihilation of all other religions.
Islam’s Agenda

During the last twenty years, there has been an increase in war rhetoric by various leading Imams urging their believers to jihad. The expectation of the coming of the Mahdi requires cooperation on the part of believers to prepare for his coming. Muslims are divided into two groups, depending upon their apocalyptic expectation.
Some Muslims believe that turmoil and fighting in the Middle East prepares the way for the Mahdi to come and lead their armies to victory. They will capture Jerusalem for Islam and once it has been conquered, the Mahdi will lead them in victory over the rest of the world.

Other Muslims believe that as soon as they are in complete control of Jerusalem, then the Mahdi will be occulted (appear) and lead them to conquer the rest of the world for Islam.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has publicly stated: “”Our revolution’s main mission is to pave the way for the reappearance of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi.”2 While speaking before the UN General Assembly in September of 2005, Ahmadinejad closed his remarks by praying that the Mahdi would come soon: “Oh mighty Lord, I pray to you to hasten the emergence of your last repository, the promised one.”3

The significance of Ahmadinejad’s comments become clear once the link to Jerusalem is understood.

Dr. Bilal Na’im served as an assistant to the head of the Executive Council of Hizballah, the Iranian-controlled Lebanese Shiitefighting in the streets terrorist organization. In an essay discussing the details of how the Mahdi is supposed to appear before the world, according to Shiite doctrine, he states that initially the Mahdi reveals himself in Mecca “and he will lean on the Ka’abah and view the arrival of his supporters from around the world.”

From Mecca the Mahdi next moves to Karbala in Iraq. But his most important destination, in Na’im’s descriptions, is clearly Jerusalem. It is in Jerusalem from where the launching of the Mahdi’s world conquest is declared. He explains, “The liberation of Jerusalem is the preface for liberating the world and establishing the state of justice and values on earth.”4 In short, Jerusalem serves as the launching pad for the Mahdi’s global jihad at the end of days.5

bullets & mapWhile one group of Muslims believe they must first gain control of Jerusalem before the Mahdi comes, the other believes the Mahdi will come first and help them capture Jerusalem – all this is but the precursor to total Islamic global dominance. Both groups view turmoil in the Middle East as a positive development which advances their agenda for the Mahdi’s arrival. This should be a warning to every non-Muslim, particularly in light of comments made recently by Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam.

In his keynote address delivered on February 27, 2011, at the Nation of Islam’s annual Saviour’s Day event, Farrakhan told a capacity crowd of 16,000+ people that the recent rioting in the Middle East was evidence that the Mahdi has, in fact, returned.

What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt, in Yemen, in Jordan, in Libya, in Bahrain, soon, very soon, in all the nations of the world, and even sooner to take place in America. . . . It is the sign that the great Mahdi that the Muslim world has been looking for is present in the world, that the Christ that you hoped for, God is stimulating the rise of the masses! And soon, it will come to these shores [United States]. Indeed, it has already begun.6
Jewish/Zionist Apocalyptic Blueprint

Featuring just as centrally in Jewish apocalyptic expectations, Jerusalem is also crucial to Jewish/Zionist plans for world dominion.

Judaism, at first sight, seems to be trying to keep its people together rather than to take on the task of converting the world, for Judaism is the history and faith of a specific nation. But this is not quite the whole story. Fundamentalist Judaism, like that of Christianity and Islam, sees its success in terms of influencing the rest of the world. It makes much of the rabbinical statements in its tradition that “God first sends a blessing to Jerusalem, and from there it flows to the entire world.”7 It is to Jerusalem that the Messiah will come and “redeem and perfect the Jewish people . . . [who will, in turn,] perfect the world around them, teaching all nations to live in peace under the law of God.”8

The prerequisite to the glorious future envisioned by Judaism is the rebuilding of their temple and a king, of the lineage of David, sitting upon the throne in Jerusalem. It is not a handful ofIsraeli Soldier at wailing wall visionaries only, but leading and influential (and well-funded) men who are preparing to rebuild the third Temple when given the opportunity. One such person is Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute.

He openly proclaimed that the members of the Institute wished to remove the Dome of the rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque so that the Temple of Solomon could be rebuilt. . . . Make no mistake about it – they are serious; according to their plans, the Third Temple will be built. And to serve the Temple they are training priests in the Temple tradition of blood sacrifice. . . . All the required implements, dishes, and other objects are also being created as the funds become available.9

It should be understood that just as Muslims are divided into various categories, so are the people commonly referred to as “Jews.” Some of these people are true descendents of Abraham, having Hebrew/Israelite blood. Many of them, however, have no blood connection to Israel at all. They are descendents of the Khazarian nation which ruled in Central Asia centuries ago.

The Khazars were a Pagan civilization, and in a short period in history, became the largest and most powerful kingdom in Europe, and possibly the wealthiest also. They brought with them their religious worship that was a mix of phallic worship and other forms of idolatrous worship practiced in Asia by other Pagan nations. This form of Pagan worship continued into the seventh century with vile forms of sexual excesses and lewdness indulged in by the Khazars as part of their religious beliefs.

In the seventh century A.D., the Khazarian ruler, King Bulan decided to convert his people to one of three possibilities: Judaism, Christianity, or Islam.

After an historic session with representatives from the three monotheistic religions, King Bulan decided to adopt "Talmudism", (as it was known then and practiced today as Judaism,) over Islam and Christianity and [Judaism] became the new state religion.

King Bulan and his four thousand feudal nobles were promptly converted by rabbis imported from Babylonia for the event. Phallic worship and all other forms of idol worship were there after forbidden. The Khazarian Kings invited large numbers of Rabbis from Babylon and vacinity, to come and open synagogues and schools to instruct the population in the new state religion.

. . . During this time the Talmud was added to or altered to protect their state religion from any other outside religious influence and to prevent a return to previous vileKhazarian Empire worship styles.10

Because the Khazars had no written language, the now self-styled “Jews” used Hebrew characters to put the sounds of their mother tongue into writing. It has come down to modern days as Yiddish.

Most of the so-called Jews who largely became involved in these various anti-christ movements derived from a group of Gentiles known as Khazar Jews. They converted to Judaism, but in no way were they ever from the seed of Abraham. To this very day, they are so conscientious of this ancient cover-up that when they are confronted about not being real Jews they scream Anti-Semitism. In order to further protect themselves from public scrutiny, they formed the Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to police and rid the world of anyone trying to expose or question their pagan practices or their rights to the Promise Land.11

While shocking to many people who assume that “Jews” are the blood-descendants of Abraham, the Khazar-Jews themselves know the truth of their history. Harold Wallace Rosenthal, a Jew, was a senior aide to then-United States Senator, Jacob K. Javits, another Jew. In 1976, Rosenthal gave an interview in which he boastingly revealed the Jewish/Zionist agenda at work in the world today. Gloating at the stupidity of the American goyim who were mere pawns of the Jews, Rosenthal stated: “It is a marvel that the American people do not rise up and drive every Jew out of this country."

The interviewer, Weisman, was so appalled at what he was hearing from Rosenthal that at one point he felt compelled to protest.

Weisman: “According to the latest scholarly research, your ancestors are not Israelites but Mongolians and Asians from Eastern Europe and Western Asia so your ancestors were thousands of miles from the Holy Land. They never ever saw the Holy Land proving that your people were not the chosen people of God."

Rosenthal: "So what? What difference does it make?"

Weisman: "We have been taught the big lie for many years that Jews are God's chosen people so it does make a difference. A very grave difference."

Rosenthal: "What grave difference?"

Weisman: "Does it not prove that the great majority of Jews today are Khazar in origin. Your ancestors never trod the lands where Christ walked. They never knew Jerusalem and Palestine so how could you . . . [Mr. Rosenthal interrupted me.]

Rosenthal: [shouting very loudly] "What the h*** of difference does it make now?"

Weisman: "I find so many things that you have said as being repulsive and . . . there is so much of what you have said that common people may not believe you; they may not believe what you have said in this interview..." [Mr. Rosenthal interrupts again]Israeli Flag, star of david

Rosenthal: "That is why we have the control today. One of the reasons your people did not believe that it was possible for any people or race to accomplish what we have within a couple of hundred years. The gentile is stupid. We are very intelligent. I am going to be a very important person in and around Washington and I intend to become nationally prominent. You are going to hear and read about me in the future. I am young and have had the guts to tell you more than any other Jew would ever dare to tell you publicly. Much of what I have told you is part of the inner and invisible world of Jewry."12

It is hardly surprising that the young, rising political star, Howard W. Rosenthal, was murdered under questionable circumstances a few months later.

The goal of Khazarian-Zionist-Jews is world dominion via their claimed descent from Abraham. Admittedly, people of Israelite descent have the strongest claim to Jerusalem. Thus, by cloaking their ambitions for world dominion under an assumed Israelite connection, Khazarian-Zionist-Jews have the strongest claim to Jerusalem.

The Jews teach that once the temple is rebuilt and a king of the lineage of David is once again seated on the throne of Israel, Messiah will come and they will rule the world. As Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan stated, “In Jerusalem, the Jewish people will thus become established as the spiritual and moral teachers of all mankind. At that time, Jerusalem will become the spiritual capital of all mankind.”13
Christian Expectations

Many Christians are unwitting helpers in furthering the Zionist agenda for global dominance. The fondest hope of all Christians, the promise to which they have clung for nearly 2,000 years is that one day the Saviour would return to earth. Large segments of Christianity also believe that Jerusalem plays a momentous role in the last days of earth’s history before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Like the Jews, these people believe that the temple must be rebuilt before the Second Coming. They also look for a return to Israel of the “Jews” (whom they assume are Israelites by blood). For this reason, many Christians are supportive of Israel as an independent state. An independent Jewish State is necessary to fulfill their apocalyptic expectations.

The Christians want the Temple rebuilt because this means that the second coming of Jesus is that much closer. The Jewish groups are happy to accept their patronage since it represents backing for Israel as well as significant financial aid for their organizations and for Israel itself.14

The Jews are only too happy to accept the help of Christians when such help is in line with their own goals. What many overlook is that the Christians believe that the Mosaic law was done-away with at the cross. Nevertheless, they continue to cooperate with the Zionist/Jewish goal of Temple restoration because of their beliefs that the Jews as a whole will be converted to Christianity during a seven-year tribulation just before the Second Coming of Jesus.

To render Mosaic law redundant is to negate all the learning of the rabbis and the value of everything that they believe and teach. The only conclusion one can draw is that the continued acceptance of support from Christian fundamentalists by these Orthodox rabbis who wish to rebuild the Temple is an act of breathtaking cynicism. For the Christian fundamentalist groups to continue to give their support is an act of naïveté, equally breathtaking.

What both groups are choosing to ignore is that the Christians are intent upon converting all the Jews to an acceptance of Christ as the Messiah at the end times. In the minds of these fundamentalist Christians, those Jews who do not accept this will unfortunately die. . . .

John Hagee, in his From Daniel to Doomsday, . . . [explains] that in the end the Jews will convert to accepting Jesus as the Messiah; in other words, they would convert to Christianity.15 And describing that Jesus will win the battle of Armageddon at the end of time, he writes:

“The hearts of the Jewish people – warmed toward God because of His intervention – will fully turn to their true God. In that moment, Israel will look upon her Messiah with recognition. . . . Jesus Christ, the true Messiah . . . shall rule and reign forever from the city of Jerusalem, the city of God.”16,17

Just as Muslims are divided into two camps by their different beliefs regarding the timing of the Mahdi’s appearance, just as “Jews” are divided into those who are blood descendents of Abraham and those who are of Khazarian blood only claiming to be blood descendents, so Christians who look to Jerusalem for the fulfillment of their apocalyptic expectations are also divided based on their own belief structures or personal agendas.
Protestants

Evangelical Protestants are some of the most out-spoken in support of Israel as an independent state. They give sacrificially to the support of Israel and look for the rebuilding of the Temple as a fulfillment of prophecy.

evangelical preacherSuch people’s love of Israel is not derived from a love of Judaism but rather from a belief that its creation as a state actually proves the accuracy of their interpretation of prophecy and is the first within a series of events ending with the Second Coming, which, with Jesus ruling from Jerusalem, will bring the conversion of Jews to Christianity. Given these beliefs, Israeli supporters of these fundamentalists are playing a very dangerous game indeed. The financial support they now receive may very well turn out to be a grave expense later on.18

Events in Jerusalem are central to the End of the World scenario embraced by these people. Some of the “signs of the times” pointed to by those who hold to this belief are:

* Israel Re-Born May 15, 1948, and Temple to be rebuilt (Sanhedrin reorganized on Jan. 12, 2005, and the Temple is their 1st priority).
* Jews of various ancestries return to Israel.
* Jerusalem not governed by the Gentile nations – Six Day War – 1967.19

Preachers take Old Testament promises given to ancient Israel and apply them to modern Israel.

For God20 will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. (Psalm 69:35, KJV)

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. . . . So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. . . . When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD. (Psalm 102:13, 15-16, 22, KJV)

Many of the texts which have a future application to the New Earth after the Second Coming are also taken out of context to apply to modern Israel.

The LORD of hosts [shall] come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he willstudying Bible deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. (Isaiah 31:4, 5, KJV)

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. . . . And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: . . . And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. . . . The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 60:1, 3-4, 10-12, 14, KJV)

People are convinced when their preachers quote Malachi 3:6 as proof that the Old Testament promises will still be fulfilled to modern Israel. “I am the LORD, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6, KJV) People are urged to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6a) because “they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6b). Huge amounts of money are taken in from Christians (and eagerly accepted by the Jews) when the ministers tell them, “Blessed is he that blesseth thee [Israel], and cursed is he that curseth thee.” (Numbers 24:9b, KJV)

Other favorite passages quoted to support their belief in a restored, powerful state of Israel are texts given to David which promise:

He [Daivd] shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. . . . And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established forever before thee: thy throne shall be established forever. (2 Samuel 7:13, 16, KJV)

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. (Psalm 89:34-37, KJV)

What multitudes of sincere people are overlooking in their efforts to “bless” the nation of Israel so that they, in turn, will be blessed, is the fact that all of Yahuwah’s promises are given on condition of obedience. Just as the Israelites of Christ’s day took Scriptures that pointed to His Second Coming and applied them to His First Coming, so many sincere people today take Scriptures which apply to the Earth made new and eternity future and reapply it to modern Israel.

The very fact that Jerusalem was utterly destroyed and its people scattered in A.D. 70 is convincing evidence that the long-suffering of Yahuwah was finally exhausted in the continued hard-hearted, “stiff-necked” rebellions of the Israelites. The apostle, Paul, emphatically rejected the exclusive mindset of the Israelites of his day which maintained that the promises were not for anyone but Israel.

And the scripture, foreseeing that [Yahuwah] would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. . . . For ye are all the children of . . . [Yahuwah] by faith in . . . [Yahushua ha Mashiach] . . . . There is neither Jew [Israelite] nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in . . . [ha Mashiach Yahushua]. And if ye be . . . [Yahushua’s], then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:8-9, 26, 28-29, KJV)

While Paul kept the true Sabbath and all the annual feasts, he wrote extensively against the continued practice of circumcision as that was a part of the Old Covenant of blood-sacrifices that were fulfilled at the cross. Because of this, many who promote a return of the “Jews” to Jerusalem and who believe that the Temple must be rebuilt in order for Jesus to come, have rejected the writings of Paul. It is claimed that Paul taught “another gospel” and he is an anti-christ.

Another false expectation widely taught but without Biblical support is the theory of the Rapture. This belief holds that the Saviour will come secretly and “rapture” His chosen ones out of the world to save them from seven years of Tribulation. This is known as the pre-Tribulation rapture. It is during the seven years of great tribulation that they expect all of the Jews to be converted and accept Jesus Christ as the true Messiah. At the end of the seven years, they, with Christ, will return triumphantly to earth to reign for 1,000 years of peace.

Here is the key to Evangelical support of Zionism. They give liberally because they believe in the final conversion of all the Jews.
Roman Catholics

pope benedict XVIThe pope has always wanted Jerusalem. The Crusades resulted in the merciless slaughter of multitudes of Muslims, Hebrews and apostolic Christians. Their sole purpose was to capture Jerusalem for the pope so that he could reign from there. The Holy See has always longed for total global dominance.

Following Vatican II in the 1960s, the papacy began courting other Christian churches. The efforts to unite with these “separated brethren” were so successful that there have been numerous “conversions” by various Protestants, including Episcopalian priests, to Catholicism. While the Seventh-day Adventist Church publishes books calling the pope the “man of sin” and stating, “It is a backsliding church that lessens the distance between itself and the Papacy”21 they also have made concessions to Catholicism that were unimaginable by the founding fathers of their faith.
On May 18, 1977, Dr. B. B. Beach, then-Secretary of the Northern Europe-West Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, had an audience withMedal given to pope John Paul II by SDA Church official, B.B. Beach Pope Paul VI in which Beach officially presented the pope with a gold medallion from the Seventh-day Adventist Church. (See Review & Herald, August 11, 1977, p. 23.)

John Paul II, who was elected pope in 1978, made more international trips than any previous pope. These trips were for the express purpose of reconciling the Holy See with her “separated brethren.” His efforts were so successful that in 1994 a land-mark document was signed entitled, Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission In The Third Millennium.22 An even more surprising victory came when leaders of the Russian and Greek Orthodox patriarchate made certain concessions to the Holy See.
pope john paul II kissing QuranBut the papacy’s attempts to unite the world, with the pope as “guarantor” of all the disparate religions, did not stop with the various Christian denominations. In 1979, Pope John Paul II visited the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul and another in Damascus, Syria in 2001. In 1999, John Paul also kissed the Koran, a gift presented by visiting Muslim Imams. In March 21-26, 2000, his efforts to unite the world’s religions climaxed with a trip to Jerusalem. As summarized in an article published by JewishVirtualLibrary.org:

Pope John Paul II arrived in Israel March 21, 2000, for a historic five-day visit, during which he visited the holy sites of the three major religions and met with Israel’s political leaders and Chief Rabbis. Though ostensibly a trip focused on religion, the Pope also touched on political issues, blessing Israel, expressing support for a Palestinian homeland and apologizing for sins committed by Christians against Jews.

In a meeting with President Ezer Weizman on March 23, the Pope blessed Israel, an act seen by many Israelis as final church recognitionjohn paul II at wailing wall of their state. For centuries, the Catholic Church taught that the Jews' exile was punishment for the death of Jesus. . . .

The Yad Vashem speech [the Pope gave] was viewed as the climax of John Paul's efforts to reconcile Christians and Jews. He was the first pope to visit the Nazi death camp of Auschwitz and attend services at a Rome synagogue. In 1998, the Vatican issued a document on the Holocaust, and in early March, before leaving for his Middle East pilgrimage, the pontiff apologized for the sins of Christians throughout history, including against Jews.23

The current pope, Benedict XVI, has continued in the footsteps of his predecessor. On November 20, 2006, the pope prayed in a Muslim mosque.

pope benedict XVI praying with muslimsIn a gesture of respect to Muslims in Turkey and around the world, Pope Benedict XVI prayed in Istanbul's famed Blue Mosque, his first papal visit to an Islamic place of worship. As the pope walked with Mustafa Cagrici, the grand mufti of Istanbul, to the "mihrab" niche that points the way toward Mecca, the mufti said he was going to pray. The pope stood alongside him, bowed his head and moved his lips in silence for about a minute. The Nov. 30 encounter was warm and cordial . . . .24

Although the Catholic Church has long been accused of persecuting Jews for being “Christ-killers,” in 2011, Benedict XVI made a point of denying that Jews were in any way responsible for the death of Christ. On March 2, 2011, Reuters News Service reported:

Pope Benedict, in a new book, has personally exonerated Jews of allegations they were responsible for Jesus Christ's death, repudiating the concept of collective guilt that has haunted Christian-Jewish relations for centuries.

Jewish groups applauded the move. The Anti-Defamation League called it "an important and historic moment" and hoped that it would help complicated theology "translate down to the pews" to improve grass roots inter-religious dialogue.25

The all-important goal driving the Roman Catholic Church’s desire for ecumenism is the desire to rule the world from Jerusalem.

There have been rumors that the Roman Catholic Church’s strategy is to pave the way toward the New World Religion so they will be in the superior position to have jurisdiction once the merger of all religions and cults are combined into one. The hidden plan in this merger is for the Catholic Church to gain world power and dominion.26

As the claimed “vicegerent of Christ,” the pope even has the title “Lord God the pope.” The apostle Paul warned of this end-time delusion when he wrote to the Thessalonians:

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called . . . [Elohim], or that is worshipped; so that he as . . . [Yahuwah] sitteth in the temple of . . . [Yahuwah], shewing himself that he is . . . [Yahuwah]. . . . And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom . . . [Yahushua] shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, 6-10, KJV)

This heaven-inspired description of the nature and goals of the papacy is immediately followed by a solemn heaven-inspired warning:

And for this cause . . . [Yahuwah] shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:11, 12, KJV)

The belief that Jerusalem is crucial to the fulfillment of apocalyptic prophecies is one of Satan’s largest and most successful lies. Its seriousness is found in the fact that it embrace’s the world’s three largest religions. Each religion, and each division within that religion, has a variation of the lie tailor-made for it by the Prince of Lies (Lucifer) himself.

Working through false beliefs which he himself has implanted in the minds of men, Satan is seeking to accomplish his original boast, made at the time of his fall in heaven. This boast has been preserved in Scripture for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come:

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of . . . [Yahuwah]: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:12-14, KJV)

The principles of Satan’s kingdom are two-fold: 1) falsehood and, when that fails, 2) force. All three of the world’s main Abrahamic religions have been guilty of using both principles for the purpose of gaining greater power and control over the masses. Any belief that promotes Jerusalem, that calls for a return to that specific piece of real estate, that solicits funds for the rebuilding of a temple in Jerusalem, is a deception that has been planned by Satan himself to either unite the religions of the world under one umbrella or, conversely, to “divide and conquer” those who refuse to unite.

When Yahushua was on earth, His followers were looking for precisely what is now being promised in this end-time delusion: Israel as a world-dominant power, crushing all of her enemies. The priests and rulers of Yahushua’s day first sought Him in hopes that He would lead the Israelites to victory over the hated Romans. They quickly rejected Him when they realized that He had no such intentions.

Yahushua clearly taught that His kingdom was a spiritual kingdom.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of . . . [Yahuwah] should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of . . . [Yahuwah] cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of . . . [Yahuwah] is within you. (Luke 17:20-21, KJV)

This divinely spoken truth was anathema to the Israelites! Faced with the destruction of their ambitious hopes for world dominance, they quickly rejected their long-awaited Messiah. Using their own ambitions as a weapon against Him, they accused Him before Pilate of being engaged in seditious and rebellious behavior against Rome. However, when Pilate asked Yahushua if the charges were true, the Saviour again reaffirmed that His was a spiritual kingdom.

Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called . . . [Yahushua], and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews [Israelites]? . . . Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

. . . [Yahushua] answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews [Israelites]: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? . . . [Yahushua] answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (John 18:33, 35-37, KJV)

All who will accept the truths of the Bible will realize that the Saviour’s kingdom is still a spiritual kingdom. The promises of Yahuwah to literal Israel will be fulfilled to spiritual Israel. This does not occur at any point in time before the Second Coming. Only after the destruction of the wicked, when a New Heaven and a New Earth are created, will these promises reach their ultimate fulfillment to spiritual Israel – those who, by obedience, have met the required condition of fulfillment, which is obedience to the divine law.

Divine Love has provided a glimpse into this glorious future in the last book of the Bible.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from . . . [Yahuwah], prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:1, 2, NKJV)

In the earth made new, populated by those who have overcome by the blood of the Lamb; those who, through faith in the atoning merits of the blood of Yahushua have perfectly kept the divine law, every gracious promise given to the obedient will be fulfilled.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of . . . [Yahuwah] is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and . . . [Yahuwah] Himself will be with them and be their . . . [Elohim]. (Revelation 21:3, NKJV)

Julia Kim's Testimony

“The amazing Love of God saved me from death and gave me a new life”

— Julia Kim’s Testimony —

As I look back at my past life, my mind becomes filled with amazement at God’s Providence.

Early happiness taken away by the war

Julia’s mother (top left), Julia (bottom right) as a third grader in 1957, and relatives

I was born on March 3, 1947 in Naju as the first child of the family. Until I was four, my life had been a continuation of happiness. I was the darling child in the family.

Happy days were over, however, when the Korean War broke out. My father and grandfather were killed during the war, and soon my younger sister died, too. My mother and I were the only survivors. We had to struggle with extreme poverty and other difficulties. In 1972, I married Julio Kim, who was the eldest among eight. I became the mother of two sons and two daughters.

I had to discontinue my study during the junior high school because of poverty, even though I was anxious to study more. Instead, I had to work hard to support my brother-in-law’s education.

Crisis in health

I was four months pregnant with my third baby. While I was doing housework, carrying my second baby on my back, there was some bleeding. I went to a gynecologist, who said that the baby in my womb was dead and that I needed surgery. I refused to believe that the baby was dead. The doctor then asked my husband if he wanted me to live or die. I was tied to the surgery table and was operated on. It was the beginning of my sufferings.

I had a second surgery seven days later. One day after the second surgery, I was almost dead and was moved to a larger hospital. Three days later, I regained consciousness, but remained in a serious condition. I tried many things to improve my health, but none of them helped. The gynecologist said that it might help if I had another baby. After much difficulty, I became pregnant.

Labor began in the ninth month of the pregnancy, but the baby could not be delivered. The doctor suggested a Caesarean operation, but my mother-in-law insisted on a natural birth. To obey her, I continued suffering terrible pains for the next two months. My mother could not watch me in that condition any longer and brought some medicine from a herbal doctor. I took the medicine and delivered the baby in the eleventh month of the pregnancy. I lost a large quantity of blood and became unconscious.

Two weeks later, my mother-in-law came and told me to go out and buy some rice. While I was returning home with the rice, I found myself bleeding again. Severe pains continued through the night, and my feet became swollen. I cried a lot when I was alone.

One day when the baby was four months old, I was doing some laundry at a creek and, suddenly, found the baby being swept away in the creek. I plunged into water and pulled the baby out. Soon, I got a fever and severe pains in my belly. The doctor said that I had appendicitis and sent me to a larger hospital in Kwangju. Test results showed that I had inflammation in the pelvis, appendicitis, pregnancy outside the womb, and a fever. I seemed to be nearing death. I felt like going to the bathroom, but, instead, was taken to the operating room, and the surgery began.

For one week after the surgery, I was throwing up what I ate. I had trouble walking to the bathroom. Nurses complained that I was exaggerating and kicked me on my legs. After I came home, pains became worse.

About a month after the surgery, something was coming out together with blood and pus from where the surgery was done. Rosa, my eldest daughter, was crying loudly and screamed, "Mommy! Your intestines! What should we do? Mommy! What should we do?" We embraced each other and cried. We found out that it was the gauze that doctors forgot to remove during the surgery.

I visited a country clinic every day. Blood and pus continued flowing out for three months. I went back to the larger hospital where the operation had been done. Doctors said that, because of substantial inflammation, I needed another surgery. I refused, because I did not have money. I continued visiting the country clinic, and the pains continued.

The condition was worsening, and pains were becoming unbearable. I was hospitalized again, but it was too late. The doctor said, "We did our best. Go home and eat delicious food." He found a widespread cancer in my body. When he tried to show it to my husband, I was startled and stopped him. I thought I would rather die than show the cancer to my husband.

After hearing the death sentence at the hospital, I came home but did not give up. I did not want to dishearten my mother who had only me to depend on since when she was 27. I struggled, but could not even stand or sit. The parts of my body which were touching the floor were hardening. My mother and husband took turns to massage me, but my body was becoming colder. The blood pressure was 50 over 40. I could not eat or drink. Because of problems in my veins, I could not even get I.V. injections.

Despite all that, I was still alive. Several women belonging to a Presbyterian church took me to their church and brought me back home several times, even though I wanted to go to a Catholic church. One day two Presbyterian women visited me and consoled me. When they were leaving, they said to each other outside the room, "What a pitiful woman! Life is precious, but she would be helping her family by dying." "That’s right! Why didn’t I think of that?" I prepared cyanide and wrote seven letters — to my mother, husband, four children, and whoever might be my husband’s next wife.

Light shines at long last

As I was thinking about my father and about to carry out the plan, my husband suddenly came home from work — earlier than usual — and said, "Honey! Let’s visit a Catholic church today." So, we went to a Catholic church in Naju.

To the priest, I said, "Father! If there really is God, He is too cruel. Why should I drink this bitter cup (= death)? What did I do to deserve it?" I thought it was not fair. I thought that I had lived a good life despite so many adversities. I had helped many beggars, I had not confronted those who had hurt me . . .

Then, the priest said, "Ma’am, you are receiving graces through your body. Even I have not received such graces. Believe what I say." When I heard these words from the priest, I believed and responded by saying, "Amen." At that moment, my body, which had been cold like a rock, was becoming hot and I was sweating all over my body. The Holy Spirit was working in me. We decided to become Catholics and bought several items at the Parish gift shop. I placed a statue of the Blessed Mother and a rose on my clothes chest and lit a candlelight. I began to pray.

On the third day, I heard the voice of Jesus: Approach the Bible. The Bible is My living Word. I opened the Bible immediately and was reading Luke 8:40-48. It was about a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years. She had the faith that if she touched the tassel on the Lord’s cloak, she would be healed. When she touched Him and was healed immediately, Jesus said to her, "Woman, your faith has saved you. Go in peace." There also was the story about Jairus’ daughter. The Lord told Jairus, "Do not be afraid; just have faith, and your daughter will live." Because Jairus believed Jesus, his daughter lived again. I believed that these words were for me also and, with a firm belief, responded with "Amen!" At that moment, I was completely cured of the cancer and all the accompanying illnesses.

I felt like running or even flying. I began going to the Catholic church and also opened a beauty parlor. I joined the charismatic movement and the Legio Marie. My life was filled with joy and love.

The Lord opens the gate of Heaven after my repentance

It was December of 1980. During an overnight prayer meeting, the leader said, "Tonight someone will receive special graces." I believed that it would be realized to me also. At about 3 a.m., the leader asked people, "What do you want?" Immediately, I prayed fervently, "Lord, I want to grow spiritually. I want my spiritual growth." In response, the Lord showed me extremely surprising scenes. I was so surprised that I felt as if my body was becoming paralyzed.

What the Lord showed me was a replay of everything that had happened in my life — I was beaten numerous times by an uncle while working in his home; I was working in a factory day and evening every day without ever receiving pay; I was beaten up by several women who were doing business with me, because they did not want to return to me the money that I had invested in the business; I was mistreated many times, because my father was not alive; and many other happenings that I did not want to remember. I began crying bitterly, realizing that, humanly speaking, it would have been impossible for me to have lived thus far, but it was the Lord Who has kept me.

I also prayed for those who inflicted pains on me: Lord, have mercy on those numerous people. They did what they did because of me. They were Your instruments for tempering me. Therefore, they are victims because of me. I could not help crying wildly, because I realized that they suffered harms because of me. "Lord! Forgive this sinner. Forgive this sinner . . ." I kept asking for forgiveness.

While I was deeply repenting and asking for forgiveness, the gate of Heaven suddenly opened and a bright light poured down upon me. I also heard the following words three times: The gate of Heaven is open. I became a very little, lowly person and prayed anxiously, "Lord, open my heart further. Open it more."

Until then, I had thought that I had lived a good life and had never made any mistake. Such pride was replaced by a deep realization that I was the greatest sinner. My body hardened again. I came home, supported by others. While lying down, I prayed, "Lord, whether I live or die, I leave it to You." I offered up myself to the Lord.

The Lord’s call to a mission

Three days later, I heard the Lord’s voice again: Daughter! God has worked in His servant’s heart. Get up hurriedly! I will make Myself known through you, who are unworthy.

When I heard these words, I was so surprised that I stood up right away. I knew that I was healthy again. I felt like flying. The Lord resurrected three days after death. He raised me up on the third day of my illness and repentance. "Yes, Lord! I am totally Yours. Use me according to Your Will."

For the next three years, the Lord allowed me everything that I wanted — even those things that I had in my mind only briefly. At every moment, the Lord showed me that there was nothing that was impossible to God.

The Lord also let me see the inside of other people’s minds and understand the nature of others’ illnesses. Because of this, I felt unbearable pains. The Lord showed me that those who were doing the Lord’s work and were thinking that they were close to Him were inflicting greater pains on Him and crucifying Him with bigger nails. I prayed hard for them.

When Jesus was entering Jerusalem riding a donkey, many people were welcoming Him placing palm leaves and their clothes in front of the donkey. What if the donkey thought that people were welcoming him instead of the Lord? What will happen to Jesus Who is riding the donkey, if the donkey jumps up and down with joy? Yes, while we work to make the Lord known, we can fail to be humble and think that we are the ones who are doing the work. Then, we will make the Lord fall on the ground. The thought that this can happen to me also sent a chill down my spine. When I was participating in the charismatic movement, many people liked me and made me stand in front of people. But now I wished that I could work in humility and hiding. I prayed, "Lord, I saw enough. Please do not show me any more. If it can be of any use for the conversion of sinners who are crucifying the Lord, I will gladly live a life of suffering." "Lord!, I am so unworthy, but, if it can be of even the tiniest help to the Lord’s Work, I will gladly offer up my sufferings." So, I consecrated myself and my sufferings for the conversion of sinners.

Since that time, I received extreme pains numerous times. Three years later, I was preparing for death again. While I was going to the Holy Hour prayer meeting in Kwangju, I prayed, "Lord, I am Yours, if I die. I am Yours, if I live. Your Will be done." During the prayer meeting, I was completely healed.

Julia with Julio, her husband, in a church in Cana, Israel
(May 24, 1992)

Since then, the Lord allowed me more sufferings and restored my health as needed. From June 30, 1985, the Lord gave us His Mother’s tears and tears of blood through her statue in our home and, later, fragrant oil through the same statue. He also sent us many messages that are necessary to all of us.

The Lord also revealed visible changes in the Sacred Host and caused the descent of the Sacred Host in the Chapel in Naju on several occasions, because so many children do not accept that the Lord comes to us as our Food because of His Love for us. I, a sinner, only hope and pray that all will amend their lives according to the Blessed Mother’s messages, come aboard the Mary’s Ark of Salvation, and be saved. What I want for myself is to live in hiding, looking after the deserted in the world. Glory be to the Lord alone!

Lord, my Light and my Savior! Love is beautiful and sweet, but also is sacrifice and sweat. To make a beautiful flower of love blossom, I want to love even the bitter cold of winter and offer up the pains that visit me without ceasing, imitating the martyrs. I wish to be a comforter for You like a grain of wheat that falls to the ground and dies to bear many fruits.

Dream High

Dream High 드림하이 (Korean Drama 2011)

Suzy, Kim Soo Hyeon I, Taecyeon, Ham Eun Jeong, Wooyoung, Dan IU

Dream High 드림하이 - Kim Soo Hyeon I (김수현) As Song Sam Dong (삼동)

Dream High 드림하이 - Kim Soo Hyeon I (김수현) As Song Sam Dong (삼동)

Rasa cintanya membuat Sam Dong rela melakukan apa saja demi Hye Mi.

Dream High 드림하이 - Suzy (수지) As Ko Hye Mi (고혜미)

Dream High 드림하이 - Suzy (수지) As Ko Hye Mi (고혜미)

Go Hye Mi (Diperankan oleh Suzy Miss A)

Tapi setelah di make over, Hye Mi pun terpana dengan ketampanan Sam Dong.

Dream High 드림하이 - Taecyeon (옥택연) As Jin Gook (진국)

Dream High 드림하이 - Taecyeon (옥택연) As Jin Gook (진국)

Dream High 드림하이 - Ham Eun Jeong (함은정) As Yoon Baek Hee (윤백희)

Dream High 드림하이 - Ham Eun Jeong (함은정) As Yoon Baek Hee (윤백희)

Yoon Baek He (Diperankan oleh Eunjung T-Ara)

Namun ternyata Baek He dapat langsung menembus audisi.

Melihat perbedaan ini, Baek He mulai merasa dirinya memiliki potensi.

Dream High 드림하이 - Wooyoung (우영) As Jason (제이슨)

Dream High 드림하이 - Wooyoung (우영) As Jason (제이슨)

-
Dream High 드림하이 - IU (아이유) As Kim Pil Sook (김필숙)

Dream High 드림하이 - IU (아이유) As Kim Pil Sook (김필숙)

Berhasilkah mereka menggapai mimpi mereka?
